Andrew

Hi, I’m Andrew Morten, the founder of TravelEssence. I was born in New Zealand and have been at the forefront of unique travel through Australia and New Zealand for almost 30 years.

Brooke

For me, New Zealand will always be home. I was lucky enough to grow up on Waiheke Island in New Zealand, where I spent the first 30 years of my life exploring what this beautiful country has to offer. As I travel and see more of the world, I realise just how truly unique and special New Zealand is.

When I moved to Europe in 2016, I became a part of the TravelEssence team as the Product Manager. I recently just moved back to New Zealand and still work on the product team locally.

Laura

I'm a true Dutchie, but grew up in a culturally diverse family. My dad is from Papua and he told us many stories about growing up there, which seemed like a whole different world to me. So when I heard about Australia, a country even further away, I was mesmerised. The idea of koalas in the trees, whales in the oceans, the milky way in the sky and all those endless, empty roads to travel... 

The first opportunity I got, which was right after my 18th birthday, I hopped on a plane and travelled to the other side of the world. I really got to squash the travel bug, which I have been fortunate to do ever since.
